Monterrey • El Consulado de los Estados Unidos en Monterrey emitió hoy un comunicado en el que se informa de un posible ataque durante la noche de hoy por parte de organizaciones criminales en el área del Centrito, en San Pedro Garza García.

En dicho documento se insta a los ciudadanos norteamericanos a evitar la zona de esparcimiento sampetrina.

El mensaje que se presta a confusión debido a las fechas que contiene, fue enviado la madrugada del 24 de febrero.

Además se les brinda información de seguridad y datos extras para conocer las alertas de viaje emitidas por el gobierno de Estados Unidos, siendo una de ellas la línea (81) 8362-9126 y el correo electrónico MonterreyACS@state.gov.

The U.S. Consulate in Monterrey has been advised of planned attacks by TCOs (transnational criminal organizations) in the area of Centrito, San Pedro Garza Garcia, N.L. tonight. U.S. citizens are urged to avoid the area, where police action may be underway.

For the latest security information, U.S. citizens traveling abroad should regularly monitor the Department's internet web site at http://travel.state.gov/ where the current Worldwide Caution, Travel Warnings, and Travel Alerts can be found. Up-to-date information on security can also be obtained by calling 1-888-407-4747 toll free in the United States and Canada, or, for callers from Mexico, a regular toll line at 001-202-501-4444. These numbers are available from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday (except U.S. federal holidays).

American citizens traveling or residing overseas are encouraged to register with the appropriate U.S. Embassy or Consulate on the State Department's travel registration website at https://travelregistration.state.gov/
